Nicola’s playful style and easy communication skills belie a razor sharp mind, keen analytical skills and tireless dedication to the task she is undertaking. A true collaborator, her work empowers and motivates adults and young people alike from Early Years to Post- 16 to make positive changes. Her creative approach, facilitation and experience as a successful businesswoman has enabled her to support schools strategically as well as practically for the last 16 years. She works in partnership with schools to understand and develop creative approaches to support higher attainment, pupil engagement, staff motivation and sustainability. Her work has included inset delivery, CPD design and delivery, creative curriculum development, pupil voice, consultancy for Senior Leadership Teams and one-to-one support and coaching for teachers.
She is joint owner and Director of Vortex Creates Ltd who specialise in transforming spaces and design and production of large costumes for Carnivals and Events. Nicola has sat on a number of Boards including the National Glass Centre Arts Advisory Board and the Cardinal Wiseman Career Academy Board. Currently she sits on the Board of Trustees for Foxford Secondary School, and Artspace studios. She has also provided support and mentoring for a number of artists in various stages of their careers.
